Every year, the Flying Doctor uses over $191,000 worth of consumables and medicines to help patients like Cliff Packham stay alive, when they are faced with life-threatening emergencies in some of Queensland's most remote locations.

Please will you donate right now to help us supply every Flight Doctor aircraft with the basic but essential supplies that we simply can't save lives without?

Few Queenslander's have come as close to death as Cliff Packham and lived to tell the tale. He suffered a cardiac arrest on the beach of remote Sweers Island last September. His heart, breathing and circulation stopped 1,000km from critcal care.

The Flying Doctor sent an aeromedical team to the island, along with an aircraft fully loaded with every medical consumable and medicines they might need to help keep Cliff alive on the two-hour transfer to Townsville Hospital.

Cliff's near-death experience happened last September, and today he is well on his road to recovery. "Thanks to the Flying Doctor's generous supporters, I survived to hug my family again. Now I can't wait to be well enough to return to Sweers Island to finish the fishing holiday that my heart so rudely interrupted!"
